The Church

Step back in time and visit this iconic Round tower church, seemingly dropped from heaven and set amidst 350 acres of rolling farmland just north of the village of Acle. A little gem hidden in the Norfolk countryside that overlooks the Acle marshes, with glorious views across the river Bure and beyond. Twice recognized in two successive years by the English Heritage Angel Awards.

The church has two services per month and is the perfect venue for intimate personal weddings that can hold a hundred, on occasion a few more with a squeeze. It still has a hand pumped organ dating from 1781 that came out of the old Fishley Hall on the estate.

The Churchwardens host a Fishley Open Day every Friday 10‐0 am till 4‐0 p.m. All are welcome to visit them and share in the warm welcome of this iconic round tower church, the complexities of its architecture, hear and see some of its 1200 year heritage and its relevance in the 21st century.

We would love to meet anyone contemplating getting married on the Fishley estate. Should you wish to view the church at other times then please contact Churchwarden Mr. Ivan Barnard Tel: 01493 751265 or E‐mail ivanbarnard999@btinternet.com
