In 2005 Phil the farmer met me a city girl who did not own a pair of wellies or anything green or waterproof at salsa dancing classes in Norwich. Our two different worlds came together and bonded and I moved to unknown territory “the country”.
In 2007 I married my farmer phil at home on the farm in Norfolk, you could see St Mary’s church from our house and I knew instantly it was the place for us to get married.
So we had a church, now to search for a venue for the reception but somehow nothing seemed to fit what we had in mind. A marquee seemed a good idea but when we had numerous barns not in use this seemed such a waste of our budget.
We started to move huge bags of fertiliser, old machinery, grain bins and had the vision of using the old grain barn as a reception venue, This is how the renovation of Fishley Hall and our story began.
From our wonderful day word slowly spread and since then other friends and family have asked to marry at our farm and have had a ball, so we now throw our doors open to you, come and see us, we love sharing our wonderful, idyllic space near the Norfolk broads.
